BioI was conceived in the wild lands – B.C.s heartlands – and born on a rainy spring day without a moon. I grew up watching spiders hatch, cows calve, and suburbia creep onto the farm. My family ties were unconventional, yet tight. I played mother to my siblings and still fall into that role if I don't stop myself. In my youth I was a dark and brooding teenager because I wanted to be, not because it was cool. At present I want to make it as a writer, but first I need to make it through university while still maintaining courage, compassion, and a sense of humour.
